Candice Michelle

Candice Michelle Beckman-Ehrlic known more popularly as Candice Michelle or just plain Candice, grew up in Milawaukee, Wisconsin. She later moved to Los Angeles to pursue her modeling and acting career. She studied in St Monica College and trained at the Peiro Dusa Acting Studio. Candice appeared in several car magazines like Flex and Lowrider, and finally appeared in Playboy’s June 2002 issue as the Cybergirl of the Week.TV appearances included roles in Party of Five and Seventh Heaven.

Her wrestling career started when she auditioned for WWE’s RAW Diva search. Although, she did not make it to the top ten, WWE hired her and under the gimmick of a make-up artist. She competed in several Diva and limbo matches and participated in lingerie fashion shows.

Candice was transferred to Smack Down! in 2005 where she had a tangle with Torrie Wilson and Melina. She made her pay-per-view debut on July 24, 2005 at the Great American Bash. She also served as the special guest referee in the Bra and Panties match between Melina and Torrie Wilson. She was later traded along with Wilson back to RAW.

Candice Michelle’s next venture was as part of the three-lady team known as Ladies in Pink with Torrie Wilson and Victoria, which later was renamed as Vince’s Devils.

Candice signed up to pose for Playboy magazine’s April 2006 issue. During the unveiling of the issue a feud occurred when Candice and Victoria turned on Torrie Wilson, later breaking up Vince’s Devils. This also led to a match in Wrestlemania 22 where the girls competed in a Playboy Pillow Fight, for which Wilson emerged the winner.

After a few more RAW matches Candice suffered a broken nose. She underwent surgery for a deviated septum on November 30 and was immediately back at at work on January 7 for New Year’s Revolution. Soon after Candice defeated Melina and Victoria with Mickie James in a tag-team match on January 22. Her feud with Melina continued with Melina claiming in her blog posts that Playboy models cannot fight her in the ring. To prove her wrong Candice Michelle agreed to go on a Bra and Panties match, on which she unfortunately lost. Candice got even by defeating Melina at One Night Stand’s Pudding Match. Also defeating Melina at Vengeance, where she became the first ever Diva Search contestant to win the WWE Championship Women’s Title. She held on to her title even after her rematch at the Great American Bash against Melina, where she also debuted her new finisher, the ‘Candywrapper’.

Candice defended her title against Beth Phoenix, becoming the number one contender for the title after winning at Summer Slam. Candice successfully defended her title at the Unforgiven pay-per-view. But the feud with Phoenix continued during a non-title mixed tag team match on September 24 on RAW.

Candice’s reign as Women’s Champion finally ended on October 7 after a No Mercy match . In a match to win the title back from Phoenix on October 22, she suffered a legitimate clavicle injury, which caused her to stay out of the ring for the next 14 weeks.
